Synopsis: The story is set at Myoujou Academy, a private girls' boarding school. The 10th year's Kurogumi class has 12 assassins with their sights on one target, Haru Ichinose. Tokaku Azuma is a recent transfer student who is also targeting Ichinose, but she gradually develops feelings for Ichinose.
So far, I am about half way through. If you are looking for a gorey anime, this would definitely not suit you. Although there is violence and attempted murder, it is put in such a way that it is not over horror-filled or bloody. At least so far. It might change by the end.
I really like how they implemented this kind of competition between assassins, but for me, it also made the story less believable. Overall, so far, I feel that this show is a kind of girly take on the subject. Each episode is kind of focused on one character and why they chose to get themselves involved in attempted murder. But the characters aren't really given much air time. The series is really short, so you end up probably not caring as much about all characters as maybe you ordinarily would.
Still, I look forward to seeing how it pans out. The shoujo-ai inst highly sexualized, so I think it'll be okay for nearly anyone to watch.
Update:
I finished the anime and let me say that they do add a twist right at the end. Seems a little out of left field but then again things get way crazy before then. There is some violence involved of course. But this isn't gore filled. It's very softly done, very clean. I actually never minded the gore in anime, so I was surprised this didn't step up to have more. However, I think it also works with what it was going for.
