So I was browsing around MyAnimeList, and saw that there was a special made for Mushishi. Mushishi is a GREAT series. Its really interesting and each episode doesn't really have anything to do with the next, so you can kind of watch it out of order.
It is said in a feudal Japan kind of era, where a the main character is a mushi master. Mushi are strange little creatures that are kind of like basic lifeforms. He goes from village to village studying mushi and treating people who have been harmed by mushi affects.
Synopsis

The special is just like all the episodes of Mushishi. No one really needs to even watch Mushishi to watch the special. Really, this anime doesn't explain much. It's just interesting to see how mushi act, what they can manipulate, and how humans are affected by it. It makes you think, and the melodious music is calming.
I am pretty excited because I also found out that they are currently airing Mushishi Season 2 right now. If you like really mellow, low-key but interesting anime, you should probably check this series out.
